University House, Building No. 1 on the ANU campus, has been a cornerstone of the graduate student community since opening its doors in 1954. About University House Postgraduate Accommodation
University House features 60 modern rooms that accommodate up to 64 residents, fostering a vibrant community of scholars from diverse backgrounds. Our facilities are an integral part of University House, providing a unique environment for academic and personal development. Recent refurbishments have introduced contemporary amenities while preserving key elements of our rich history, including bespoke Fred Ward furniture and artwork.
Accessibility
Newly installed lifts in both wings of University House ensure easy access and improved mobility, allowing all residents to navigate the space effortlessly. In addition, the building meets various accessibility requirements, including wider doorways, ramps, and designated seating areas, to accommodate individuals with disabilities. These features promote inclusivity for all residents.
