Poetry at the House: Jan Owen, Subhash Jaireth and Alan Gould

The next reading will feature Jan Owen (Aldinga, SA), Subhash Jaireth (Canberra) and Alan Gould (Canberra)

 

Jan Owen’s The Offhand Angel : New and Selected Poems, was published by Eyewear in 2015, and her volume of translations from Baudelaire’s Les Fleurs du Mal was published by Arc Publications in the same year.

Subhash Jaireth has published works in Hindi, Russian and English, including the poetry collectionsYashodhara: Six Seasons Without You (2003) and Unfinished Poems for Your Violin (1996). He has also written prose fiction. His latest book is Incantations (Recent Work Press 2016).

Alan Gould‘s fourteenth volume of poems is Charlie Twirl (UWA Press 2017). He has won awards for both his poetry and his fiction, and presently working on a book of essays on Shakespeare’s astonishing powers of characterisation.

Admission$10 waged, $5 unwaged.
